Witchy Women Hate Green Grass

Because i’ve been disappointed in my lack of recording and having no true release of an EP, “12 Inch, Album nor Mixtape, i’ve decided to release a free proper twelve inch titled Witchy Women Hate Green Grass. I know people will wonder what the hell is the point with that title, but within the title song, if you don’t get it, then my music truly isn’t meant for you unless you like the production. It’s a true melancholy twelve inch that people should expect from me by now, but if you’re expecting happiness…..just wait until your girl/guy dumps you or something close. With the title track, will include a reprise and the Yusef Afloat tribute track. I hand picked beats by guys that know the true meaning of creating emo moods within their music. It’s not only depressing sounds, but the title track is a very pivotal track that i’m proud of that is produced by Sei. The other two producers are phenomenal and those two people are LO and Izo. The release will be next Thursday at best, so stay tuned to sync this into your Ipods and Zunes soon.

Other releases will be when I get better equipment, so keep this true to your collection if you’re waiting for more. I think a video will be shot for the title track aswell.

My Track Inspired By Yusef Afloat

It’s my tribute to the late great emcee/producer(he’s in my top 20), Yusef Afloat. The inspiration came from his extremely hard to find EP (I lost it and just found it again) Hard Times. The song “At Tymz” really struck me to how i’m currently feeling at life right now, and because probably little to no Hip-hop head has really heard of Yusef or has been blessed to listen to the EP, I decided to make a song in the same vein as that record. It all came to me today when I finished listening to “At Tymz” and afterwards began freestyling for like 5 minutes with that beat stuck in my head. Most of the shit I said sounded ill, so I wrote what I remembered and got this dope beat by my man, Izo.

New Material Will Be Released When Better Equipment Is Acquired

I Appreciate The Continous Love (Upcoming Plans & Releases)
I thank everyone who has been listening to my music and realize that what i’m trying to do. I do music for the emo kids, the hipsters, the be-boppers, the poets. I make it be able to vibe through a car smoothly or be heard in cafe lounges (which one here in Virginia is about to do). I make music for the soul and for artistic purposes. I realize not to necessarily always blab on about myself, but to sometimes paint scenarios. And once again, I praise those who see my vision and producers that show ALOT of patience towards me and ALOT of love.

I really love that my shit is heard by over a thousand people or people that love it so much, they come back to listen to it again.

Like I said though, I will be taking a break after I fufill my duties of this upcoming mixtape, free ep and a professional ep for labels. I will then be shooting videos and creating a go-go band.

Label or not, in Spring of ‘09 there will be an album created with the most talented producers I know. And there might be some touring done after all is said and done.

I know I spoke on some other projects to be done. They will be done eventually. Hell, I might just spand them out as long as I plan to rap, but they will be done.

I thank everyone again for their support. Better is on the way. What i’m doing now is only 45% of what is capable of me with this music.

I love you all and producers, indie labels and collab intrests; continue to get at me. I’m the artist that don’t charge for collabs. I’m in it for the vibes most of all.

New, News About My Mixtape

There has been a tiny delay in the mixtape, because of the producers wanted to make this mixtape. I was just about close to have a couple of tracks be jacked beats, but I decided to keep it simply with my in house producers, and make my sweetest cup of tea that way. I’ve added two great producers of the name of Lo and Hijrah Femci. They’re two of the most talented and patient people I work with  today. They understand when this music thing dosen’t pay, it’s hard to focus your entire life on it. I love them for that. The one bonus track will borrow Black Star’s Brown Skin Lady record, though. There has been lyrics adjusted and tracks added on. I think i’ll be satisfied enough for this free release to be out by the end of May, which is just about the end of next week. If it dosen’t hit then, then expect it to be out the first week of June. I know i’m the king of delay, but you all will see progress soon. This will make it in time for you to have the top of your convertible down at night, just speeding in the air on the highway, not knowing where in the world you are going.

Cup Of Tea Mixtape

As i’m chilled, listening to The Postal Service, I give you up to date information of my upcoming mixtape before the EP, Have My Cake & Eat It Too. You all know the title of it by now named, Cup of Tea. The basis of this title is from me feeling as though i’m a top artist of great organic Hip-Hop, and how doing it is a simple cup of tea. In reality it isn’t though. You have to go through the bullshit of some producers trying to be under the rader and still eat from their beats, instead of make names for themselves by spreading their sounds across as many emcees they can for free. But I can understand how some producers work though. That though was the hardest task for me making up this mixtape. I wanted all original production, which I ended up getting and topics that I simply just had on my chest and I wanted to dust it off to you, the fans. I also feel as though the EP isn’t ready to be recorded. It’s still in the skeletal phase because of how I work. All the lyrics are done, but production is one thing i’m pondering on aswell as the way lyrics are. That project will be released though. It’s just a true musical gift that I want to have get my name out there and I don’t want to give out bullshit. So to keep a promise of a May release, I give you a May mixtape. Once again, it’s all original production. The Producers are: JoBE,  C-Minor, scabieFACE, Butter and Portformat. I feel as though this mixtape can be thought of as an EP, as decisive as it sounds and is arranged. The mixtape is done with all the lyrics, except one; which will be finished this weekend. Expect for me to begin recording this week coming up. The release of this mixtape will be the third week of May. The release will also be a free one, so I hope that makes everyone happy aswell. Because I did cover art with this mixtape, if anyone wants a physical copy, it’ll be $2.00. No, I Haven’t Forgotten About This Blog Yet

I’ve just been recently pondering on what do I want to do next musically. I have been SO disappointed in the response of my free twelve inch that i’ve just been thinking of falling back for a while….seeing what i’m doing wrong. The again, they we all rough drafts of what was to be and maybe people said “Fuck it, i’m waiting for the actual EP”. The thing is i’m so self conscious of the music that I do put out. I probably have over 20 songs that no one has listened to yet just because it’s not up to that level I feel it should be. I do enjoy the love, I do enjoy the n plays I get and how quickly a song shoots up in plays for me, but I want so so many more fans. If I had more fans, I think i’d be good. For now though…. I don’t even know. I’m thinking about just dropping this Cup Of Tea Mixtape…..put my all into finishing this EP that i;ve been changing and promising to release and just seriously fall back for a while and just do photo shoots, shop those two projects around and shoot mini film videos for some songs of mine. I still will be involved in music, but not as heavily as I have been. I’m looking to make a Go-Go band, a Screamo band and I already have a tentative acoustic band with my friend, John Forrestal. We’ll just have to see what happens. I think i’ve made my mind up though….

Cup Of Tea Mixtape Being Placed Out Before Have My Cake & Eat It Too [EP]

Yes, another project before the BIG project. This is being done because
i’ve been doing alot of altercations to the EP, and I want it to be done
with perfection. To once again give love, and hold you over, there will be
a Mixtape titled, Cup Of Tea. No DJ drops (I hate that shit unless it’s
rare drops or the DJ is charismatic), and it isn’t a obligatorily long
mixtape. I ballpark it around 15-20 minutes. So with the waits, there are
more projects being released, so atleast love me for loving you. It’ll be
released May. Have My Cake & Eat It Too has been once again pushed back to
late May/Early June. So I hope you enjoy when it drops.
